Application Support Engineer / Specialist (Java/J2EE/J2SE)
Job Descriptions:
* Research into allocated issues at a much deeper level than basic resolution and provide detailed data on the issue and its resolution to both customers and sales teams.
* Identify and address any warm issues with the potential to turn into hot escalations with high visibility.
* Use SLA timescales to assess overdue tickets and to work with the team members to resolve or to resolve independently where urgency is needed.
* Work effectively with internal and external organizations as necessary to expedite repair efforts.
Requirements:
* 1 – 2 years experience in Java/J2EE/J2SE application support.
* Experience with Shell Scripting, Perl Scripting, UNIX/Linux command line interface.
* Some experience in network management/support.
* Working knowledge of mobile devices and web protocols (TCP/IP, SMPP, HTTP, etc) will be an added advantage.
* Responsible, analytical with strong problem solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Self motivated individual able to work independently.
* Diploma / Degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering or any relevant disciplines.
